The role of print rich environment to develop of early literacy

Roskos & Neuman (Kadlic, 2003: 39), considers that the influence of environment on children's behavior is an important factor in early childhood education. Children who are involved in their environment, they adapt their intellectual as a tool to meet new challenges or new situations, integrating thought and action. Both are mentally and physically interacting with the means by which children achieve a new understanding and develop the skill of interaction process. Children will put their home environment as the

most likely place and liked to explore. Providing a rich environment reading (print rich) and area attractions reading will always provide support for literacy development of children. As Neuman views (Brewer, 2007: 315) "Providing a print-rich environment and attractive reading areas cans Also support children's literacy development".

Print rich environment, it is important to be created as an effort to stimulate the development of children, especially in the cognitive domain, cognitive domain has a major role for the development of the child to understand variety of knowledge , means that cognitive domain as a prerequisite for beginning of how children learn and obtain finally knowledge. Therefore, Musthafa (2008: 5) argues:

"To promote early awareness of reading (print), and to promote child's interest in exploring their world and to experiment with their language, literacy artifacts (newspapers, children's books, advertisements, paper, pencil, etc.) must be provided around and can be accessed by children who are learning".

Availability of these materials will certainly be of interest to explore the future of children in child eventually will recognize a variety of symbols and record in his brain, which one day will help them in preparation for literacy. Mental readiness in preparation for reading and writing is probably stronger than in children who do not recognize letters or symbols resulting from lack of variety of artifacts (objects). One example of what is called the embryo of the writer, writing ability is one of the most important language the skill to be ruled. This skill of course only be obtained and controlled by way of practice and plenty of exercise, even from a young age. This is closely related to culture, especially within the family environment. This habit eventually demands of a family member or child with insight, attitude, and various abilities that are suitable for the habit. One most important capability is the ability to read and write. The ability to write well is expected to be successful, if it ever since childhood literacy activities often interact with reading or reading materials that match their interests. This is in line with the opinion stating that interest in reading is something very important for a person to perform activities well. As a psychological aspect, interest in reading not only coloring a person's behavior, but also promote these people to pay attention and let himself be bound in these activities.

Reading is a language skills in addition to listening, speaking, and writing. As an element of language skills, reading can be learned with a variety of ways. How to be taken must be adapted to goals to be achieved by reading them.
