Several considerations in choosing a learning strategy for children

The Strategy at first a term used in military, which is defined as how the use of all military forces to win a war. in education, the strategy is defined as "a plan, method, or series of activities designed to achieves a particular educational goal" (J.R David, 1976).

The learning strategies become the general pattern that is used by schools and teachers in making teaching and learning activities so as to achieve  the learning objectives. While the understanding of learning strategy is all efforts schools and teachers to implement various learning methods to  achieve the expected goals. Thus, the learning strategy emphasizes to teach teachers how activities and activities children is learn.

There are several criteria that must become considered in choosing a strategy learning for teacher, that is:

  1. The target of the learning goals, the learning whether the it aims to develop the physical domain-motor, cognitive, social, emotional, language, arts, norms, religious;
  2. The relevance to the task of development and abilities of children;
  3. The place that will be used for learning activities whether outside or indoors;
  4. Characteristic themes or instructional materials that will be presented to the child
  5. Characteristic patterns of activity that will be used whether through direct guidance, semi-creative or creative.
  6. Availability of materials and media that will be used
  7. Support of local communities.
  8. Appropriate with child's learning style
  9. Accordance with the interests, talents and the child's condition
  10. Appropriate with learning material
